Christian Weiss received his B.Sc. degree in Information and Communication Technology and his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, in October 2009 and November 2011, respectively. In his Bachelor Thesis he worked on “Optimal Decision Fusion using the Bootstrap in Through-the-Wall Radar Imaging” and he accomplished his Master Thesis with the title “Compressive Sensing in Radar and Beamforming Applications”.

He also studied at The University of Tokyo (UT), Japan, at Kikuchi Laboratory for optical communications, where he worked on modulation and electrical post-processing techniques for optical coherent transmission systems.

Since January 2012, he joined the Signal Processing Group at TU Darmstadt as a research fellow to work on his dissertation

Research

Christian's research interests cover estimation techniques for quantum state tomography, electrical post-processing for optical communication as well as sparse signal processing for radar/sonar.
