Aylin Tastan received the B. Eng. and M. Eng. degrees both in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Gazi University, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. During October 2017 to April 2018, she was a research assistant at Baskent University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. Her master thesis was concerned with fetal sensitivity to maternal voice using Doppler ultrasound signals.

In April, 2019, she joined the Signal Processing Group at Technische Universität Darmstadt and commenced working on her PhD. Her research interests include statistical signal processing, biometrics for biomedical purposes and applications for biomedicine.

In September 2020 Aylin Tastan received the Best Student Paper Award at the 2020 IEEE Radar Conference for her paper “An Unsupervised Approach for Graph-based Robust Clustering of Human Gait Signatures”
