Raquel received her M. Sc. degree in “Telecommunications Engineering” from the University of Zaragoza, in Spain in 2003. She accomplished her Master's Thesis in the Department of Signal, Sensors and Systems of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) at Stockholm (Sweden). From 2004 to 2008 she worked as a fellow at CERN (Geneva, Switzerland) in the radio-frequency group, collaborating in the feasibility study for a new linear collider (CLIC project). In April 2009 Raquel started her PhD in the Signal Processing Group. In Jan 2012 Raquel finished her PhD.
Research
Raquel's PhD topic is in the area of imaging for “Synthetic Aperture Sonar”. She is especially interested in image classification for underwater mine detection.
