Signal Processing Colloquium Darmstadt – April 30, 2026

From its mathematical foundations to its far-reaching real-world impact, signal processing has profoundly shaped the way we sense, communicate, and interpret the world. Over the past decades, the field has evolved into a rich and diverse landscape of theories, algorithms, and technologies, driving innovation across communications, sensing, medicine, and data-driven systems.

To reflect on these developments and explore future directions, we are hosting a colloquium that brings together perspectives from across the breadth of the field:

\[\large\textbf{Signal Processing Colloquium Darmstadt}\]\[\normalsize\textit{Reflections on Four Decades of Research & Future Directions}\]

The colloquium will take place on April 30, 2026 at Technische Universität Darmstadt and will feature contributions from leading researchers in signal processing from around the world.

The event also marks the retirement of Prof. Dr. Abdelhak Zoubir and offers an occasion to reflect on and illuminate the past forty years of research in signal processing. It celebrates the milestones, breakthroughs, and enduring contributions that have shaped the field, highlighting both the evolution of the discipline and Prof. Zoubir’s lasting impact on the academic and research community.

Researchers, students, and practitioners are warmly invited to join for a day of insightful discussions, exchange of ideas, and a forward-looking perspective on the evolving landscape of signal processing.

On behalf of the organization committee,

Prof. Dr. Marius Pesavento
