Feng received his B.Sc. degree in “Information Engineering” from Shanghai Jiao Tong university, China in 2008 and his M.Sc. degree in “Electrical and Information Engineering” from Technische Universität Darmstadt in 2011. His bachelor thesis was about inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) radar imaging and his master thesis was about optimal waveform design for target detection. From April 2008 to August 2008, he worked as a software developer in BOSCH, Shanghai, China. From March 2009 to September 2010 he worked as a student research associate in Fraunhofer-Institut für Sichere Informationstechnologie (SIT), Darmstadt.

In April 2011, Feng commenced working on his Ph.D. in the Signal Processing Group.
